How to apply for a school place for your child for September 2024.
If your child was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020, they will be eligible to start school in the school year beginning September 2024.
If you are considering Crondall Primary School and would like to make a visit to the school, please contact the school office who will be pleased to arrange an appointment to tour the school. A link to the school's contact details can be found here.
We admit 30 children to our school in the September after their fourth birthday and have a thorough and effective transition package in place.
Our staff visit the local pre-schools to discuss the children due to transfer.
Our current policy at Crondall Primary School is to offer a full-time education (after a staggered start over a week or so) from the start of the academic year for all our new Reception children. For the vast majority of children this arrangement works very well.
Applications for admission at the normal intake will be managed in accordance with Hampshire’s coordinated scheme for primary admissions. Applications for admission to Reception must be made by 15 January 2024. Applications are made direct to Hampshire via an online application or on a paper application form available from the School Office. For more information regarding the Hampshire County Council Admission process please click here.
Sometimes a parent may need to make an in-year application for a school place if their child needs to join a school outside of the normal admissions round - for example, if you move house and your child can no longer attend their current school. This is subject to places being available for children up to the age of 11.
This is called an in-year application. All applications should be made with Hampshire County Council click here.
For details of Hampshire County Council’s dates and deadlines please click here.
All children who live in Crondall and Ewshot have the right to attend the school, provided there are sufficient places. Applications are very welcome from those who live outside this area. Should there be insufficient places, admissions will be subject to our admission policy below. Parents are encouraged to visit the school before registering their children. We are always pleased to show parents and their children (if possible) around the school.
At the age of eleven, the children transfer to various secondary schools including:
- Calthorpe Park School, Fleet.
- Court Moor School, Church Crookham.
- Amery Hill or Eggars Schools in Alton.
- Robert May's in Odiham.
