Governors
Message from the Governors
Welcome to the Crondall Primary School website. We are pleased to introduce you to our dedicated Governing Body, and we invite you to explore our Governors’ page for more information.
The Crondall Primary School Governing Body is made up of Parent, Community, Local Authority, and Staff Governors. Together, we are deeply committed to supporting the school in its mission to provide the best possible education. We work closely with the staff, parents, and wider community to ensure that every aspect of the school is continually improving, aiming to achieve outstanding results for all our students.
Our Governing Body plays a crucial role in the life of the school, with responsibilities that include overseeing staff selection and policy, managing the school budget, ensuring the proper maintenance and development of the school buildings and grounds, and ensuring that the curriculum and government policies are effectively implemented. The day-to-day management of the school is delegated to the Headteacher, who works closely with staff to create a nurturing and inspiring learning environment.
The Governing Body meets each term, with additional committee meetings taking place at least once a term. We have two key committees: Resources and Full Governors meetings. The minutes from our meetings are open documents and can be accessed at any time during school hours at the school office.
We value the voices of our parents and community members, and if you have any concerns or would like to discuss any aspect of the school, please contact the school office as your first point of call. If you wish to communicate directly with an individual Governor or with the Governing Body as a whole, you may do so through the Clerk to the Governors by email or through the school office.

I became a Parent Governor in September 2016 and am thrilled to be able to support the school and help it to continue to be a wonderful place for our children. I live in Crondall and have two children, Luca and Eve. I left my professional life as European Operations Manager for a videoconferencing company when I had Luca, as I knew that conference calls and PowerPoint presentations would not be of interest when I had a lovely bundle to occupy me. However I have been lucky enough to be able to work with my husband through our Marketing Consultancy on projects which have fit nicely around the children. I play the piano and flute and have recently joined a local orchestra with the flute.

Having been brought up in Berkhamsted, Durham then Tring, I read Classics at Oxford University where I met Ed. After graduating we married, and Jasmine and Alfie came along. I taught Classics, Piano and Violin at various schools before undertaking ordination training at STETS in Salisbury. I was ordained deacon in Winchester Cathedral in 2009, then priest in 2010. I served my curacy in Alton, where I was also Multi-faith Chaplain at Alton College, and was appointed Vicar of Crondall and Ewshot in December 2012. I love running, playing tennis, skiing and sewing, and enjoy travelling and meeting people.

I have lived in Ewshot since 2014 with my husband and two children, Kylan & Milana. I am a working mum, juggling my day job as a Global Operations Risk Manager with everything else that comes with daily life - yet the chance to be a part of supporting our local school as a Parent Governor was too good to pass up. I grew up in a small town called Rugby in Warwickshire and moved to London to study a BSc in Mathematics at Kings College London followed by an MSc in Operational Research & Performance Management at Aston University. Since then, I lived in and around London until finally settling in Ewshot village - which we love immensely. I love to travel and see new places as well as running in my spare time.

Despite having lived in Crondall for six years, with my wife Emma and a very bouncy springer spaniel called Monty, a busy working life has stopped me from contributing more to my local community than I would have liked until now. However, in 2021 I left the research company I had been running for about 14 years in order to create a bit more space to focus on things that really matter to me. Alongside my work as a consultant, coach, and strategy director for a company that aims to reduce gender inequality, I now spend more time growing stuff (with mixed results), baking (with very mixed results) cycling and writing. I've had a long-standing interest in education, having initially trained as a teacher and then acting as a leader on both the Duke of Edinburgh Award and Young Enterprise Programme, and I'm really pleased to be renewing that involvement through my work with Crondall Primary School.

I have lived in Crondall since 2016 with my wife and two children, Jessica and Felix. I am Finance Director of a UK/Ireland pub company, and have worked for the same company for 24 years! Before starting work, I studied Mathematics at Durham University and went to schools in North Yorkshire and Northumberland. My interests, outside of numbers and my family, include travel, golf and cooking. I really relish the opportunity to be actively involved in Crondall Primary School and the wonderful local community.

I moved to Crondall in 2022 with my husband, Nathan, and two boys, Ollie (year 3) and Leo (just started in Reception).
I work full time as a lawyer for a large insurance company specialising in marine and crisis management. Before that I was a partner at a law firm but changed roles after lockdown to allow me more time to balance work and home life. Or try to!
I grew up and lived in London until our move to Crondall. The move was a big change but we were so happy to find such a friendly and welcoming school for Ollie, and now Leo, to become part of.
Growing up, my parents were very involved in my education (teacher/Chair of Governors) and it is important to me to support my children's school as much as possible. I was therefore delighted to accept the role of parent Governor. -
